Cruiserweight Champion Cedric Alexander and Lio Rush had a lively exchange on Twitter recently, as Rush prepares to make his 205 Live debut soon. During the trash talk, Alexander made an offhand reference to Enzo Amore, without naming him directly, saying that Rush wanting to be a rapper hearkened a former Cruiserweight Champion who Rush doesn’t want to end up like.

It all started when Alexander posted a happy-go-lucky video of him and his family. Rush responded saying he planned to take food off their tables in the near future. The two traded barbs, and towards the end of the exchange Amore is referenced.

Check out the exchange below:

Alexander is not scheduled for a title defense at this Sunday’s Money In The Bank pay-per-view. He last defended his title May 29th against Buddy Murphy on 205 Live. As for Rush, a vignette aired during 205 Live on June 5th to announce he would be making the move to the Cruiserweight brand. Amore was, of course, ousted from WWE after a much-publicized debacle for which he has since been exonerated.
