Dave Bautista took to Twitter recently to express his displeasure at the firing by Disney of Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn. Gunn had made some horrible jokes on Twitter ten years ago about things like rape and pedophilia and social media managed to dig them up. One of the jokes read: ‘I like when little boys touch me in my silly place.’
Disney responded to the unearthing of these comments with the following statement:
The offensive attitudes and statements discovered on James’ Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio’s values and we have severed our business relationship with him.
Gunn defended himself simply by saying the comments were failed attempts at the time to be provocative.
Bautista has been furious over the decision by Disney to remove Gunn from the GOTG series. He even tried to blame the negative backlash against Gunn’s rapey pedophilic comments on ‘fascists’.
Read his tweet below:
I will do what Im legally obligated to do but @Guardians without @JamesGunn is not what I signed up for. GOTG w/o @JamesGunn just isn’t GOTG. Its also pretty nauseating to work for someone who’d empower a smear campaign by fascists #cybernazis . That’s just how I feel https://t.co/Ym4FwruVDu

Bautista has been away from WWE for some time but has recently discussed wanting to come back for a last hurrah to end his career in wrestling. A match was being planned for WrestleMania 34 before it fell through.
