– In six weeks, SmackDown celebrates episode number 1,000 and PWInsider states that Edge will be there. Considering the history of SmackDown, Edge is one of the wrestlers that many associate with the blue brand.
As of now, we haven’t learned what role the WWE Hall of Famer will play or if Christian will also being appearing. We do know a long-time rival of Edge will be there in Undertaker. Some could say that those two, along with The Rock, helped shape SmackDown.
SmackDown 1,000 will be October 23 from Washington, DC. Confirmed matches include: WWE Champion AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz.
At this rate, WWE should make the episode three hours as it already looks action packed and more surprise are bound to happen.
– We learned earlier in the day that Renee Young will make history starting tonight, as she becomes the first female to join the RAW announce team in a full-time role. This occurs as WWE continues their push to show that female and male superstars are on the same level.
It all started a few years ago with the Divas Revolution as Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch joined the main roster. Since then, the women continue to make history. We have seen them compete inside Hell in a Cell (at an event they closed), have their own Money in the Bank, Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber matches. WWE saw Ronda Rousey join to the company, which has been a major success and next month the first all women’s pay per view takes place in Evolution. Truly, it’s an amazing time for women in the business and they deserve every bit of it.
Below are just some of the many people reacting to Renee joining the RAW announce table.
I am so so so insanely excited about this! To be the first woman to take over that chair that so many amazingly talented voices and personalities have sat in before me! Thank you to @VinceMcMahon @StephMcMahon @TripleH @MichaelCole and @WWEGraves (and MANY others) ?????? https://t.co/fOKRKlheHE

I would like to think I had a hand in pushing this talented individual to lock down a more stable income for her household, but this isn’t about me. Congrats Renee. https://t.co/l7Ch5xZFhS
