Some of Matt Hardy’s recent tweets have led some fans to believe the Woken One might be injured and retiring soon. First it was Matt’s tweet where he suddenly expressed his heartfelt gratitude to to all the fans throughout the stages of his career:
To all that supported me in the independents & OMEGA..
To the fans of Team Xtreme..
To the Mattitude Followers..
To the OUTSPOKEN fans who brought me back in 2005..
To the people who backed me when I was REINCARNATED in pro wrestling..
To the #WOKEN Warriors..
THANK YOU. pic.twitter.com/YkEILcoZh8

Then it was Matt’s passing revelation that his lower back and pelvis have started fusing together:
This maneuver was called EVENT OMEGA..
And is most likely the reason that I’ve recently learned that my lower back & pelvis have started fusing together. pic.twitter.com/FzYebvIIc0

So what’s the deal? Dave Meltzer noted on F4WOnline that Matt’s tweets are simply a symbol that he won’t be wrestling forever. He isn’t trying to cryptically announce his retirement. While Matt is in some pain, Meltzer said it’s manageable. Matt will also undergo a new rehab treatment to try and help with whatever problems do exist.
A fan got to personally be part of a Shield Reunion of sorts this past weekend at a Live event. Check out the clip below:
