WrestleNewz brings you live play-by-play coverage and results for the Mae Young Classic Tournament Finale. The finale will be airing at 10 pm on WWE Network immediately following Smackdown Live. The final match of the tournament will see Shayna Baszler squaring off against Kairi Sane.

Mae Young Classic Finale: 10 pm EST

Tournament Finals: Shayna Baszler vs. Kairi Sane

Shayna Baszler makes her entrance first, followed by Kairi Sane. Baszler has a fierce and confident look on her face. Sane has a soft smile as she poses with her pirate get-up. Baszler is a full six inches taller than Sane according to the tale of the tape. A bell sounds and Lillian Garcia makes the official introductions. The two shake hands and the bell sounds to start the match.

The two circle each other a bit before tying up and breaking apart quickly. They circle some more and then tie up again. Baszler pushes Sane back to the ropes and then lets go slowly and backs off. They reset in the middle of the ring. The crowd cheers for both of them. Baszler shoots for a takedown and gets it. She pins and gets a 2-count and then Sane counters with a pin and 2-count of her own. They separate and rest again in the middle of the ring.

Baszler beckons Sane for a test of strength and Sane obliges. They locks hands and Baszler gets the advantage as she pushes Sane back. Baszler whips Sane into the ropes but Sane pops up and gets her feet around Baszler’s head. She takes Baszler over with the head scissor but then Baszler kicks Sane hard in the face and Sane rolls outside. Baszler goes to the apron and punts Sane in the face. She throws Sane back in the ring and pins for a 2-count.

Baszler bends Sane’s hand back and steps on it. Sane screams out in agony. Sane tries to come back, and as she bounces off the ropes, Baszler side-steps her and Sane falls to the mat. Baszler goes to work on Sane’s arm. Then she goes for a standing vertical suplex but Sane lands on her feet. Sane tries again to get some offense going but Baszler hits her with a pair of gut-wrench suplexes that she calls “Two Of A Kind”. She pins but Sane kicks out.

Back on the feet and Sane suddenly explodes with some chops across Baszler’s chest. Sane flails wildly. They transition and Sane connects with a spear to Baszler and pins for a 2-count. Sane bounces off the ropes and hits a clothesline on the seated Baszler. Then Sane bounces off the ropes again and hits a drop kick to Baszler in the same position. Then Sane puts a submission on Baszler. Baszler manages to turn around and lands some punches on Sane to get her off.

Baszler gets knocked down in the corner but Sane hits the turnbuckle when Baszler moves out of the way of her bull-rush. Baszler looks fatigued and Sane takes advantage and puts her down. Sane goes to the top rope and attempts to jump off but Baszler catches her and wraps her up in the rear-naked choke. The crowd cheers loudly. Sane fights hands and struggles. She gets out of the hold and Baszler takes some deep, deep breaths. Sane, cardio still strong, jumps on Baszler and then sets her up. Sane goes to the top rope and looks for her flying elbow.

Baszler gets up and heads her off. She sets up for a superplex but Sane blocks it. They end up trading shots while standing on the top rope. Baszler is ultimately knocked back and she hangs upside down in the corner. Sane jumps and drives both her feet into Baszler’s chest. Then Sane runs and delivers a running elbow to Baszler in the corner. She goes to the top rope and gets major hang-time with her In-Sane¬†elbow and lands it flush.

Sane pins Baszler; the ref hits the count. 1-2-3. Kairi Sane wins the Mae Young Classic Tournament.

Winner: Kairi Sane

Baszler and Sane embrace in the ring after the match. Sane stands beside her big trophy in the ring. Triple H hands her a bouquet of flowers and holds her arm in the air. Stephanie McMahon stands off to the other side and claps her hands. The show closes with Sane posing for the crowd and expressing her gratitude.
