It appears that Aleister Black will not be ready for NXT’s Takeover Brooklyn IV as he was written out of storylines late last night. Originally, Black vs. Johnny Gargano vs. NXT World Champion Tommaso Ciampa was booked for the show and segments were taped weeks ago. Then, Black suffered a groin injury last weekend that required surgery.
After last night’s NXT episode aired, a segment was later uploaded online. It sees NXT General Manager William Regal and others finding an unconscious Black outside of Full Sail University. Gargano and The Undisputed Era were also seen in the video, which might be used to further the storyline upon Black’ return.
Earlier today, Regal sent out the following tweet:
.@WWEAleister spent the night in a local medical facility in Orlando. As of now, medical personnel still have no update on his status. I hope to provide an update later today.

With Black not being cleared to compete, the main event will likely be a singles match unless there are some last minute changes. Takeover Brooklyn IV is August 17 from the Barclays Center and below is the current card, which still has Black listed.
