Former WWE Champion Dean Ambrose is expected to make a return to ring-action sometime in the next month, according to PWInsider. Ambrose is apparently expected to be at the SummerSlam pay-per-view. It is not known if he will have a role, however Ambrose will be returning somewhere around that time. A big return at SummerSlam would make sense.

Ambrose has been out since undergoing tricep surgery in December of 2017. It was said at that time that he’d be away for about 9 months and this month makes 8. There has been virtually no mention of Ambrose since being benched with injury and chances are WWE will want to make something surprising and significant when he is seen again.

The only mention of Ambrose in the last 8 months has been the occasional news reports of him going to Birmingham, Alabama where he rehabbed his tricep. He was also seen at the WWE Performance Center in June as he was evidently working to get back in ring-shape.

Before suffering the injury, Ambrose was involved in a Shield reunion with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. No word on whether that will be rekindled or if it will be best left forgotten.
