For the second time, Chicago was home to their second Takeover card. Here’s the latest from NXT TakeOver Chicago, live on the WWE Network.

NXT Tag Team Championships: Undisputed Era (Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong) vs. Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch

Adam Cole is out with his stablemates. The challengers aren’t getting much of a reaction. Very pro Undisputed Era crowd. Some chain wrestling by O’Reilly and Burch. O’Reilly is able to get his team the advantage by cornering opponents with kicks. Rodering Strong gets in and lands a huge dropkick. Running knee from Strong misses and Lorcan gets tagged in. Stiff strikes from Lorcan, including a  running uppercut. Lorcan clears the top rope and takes out both tag champs. Finally the crowd is getting behind the faces. Pair of blockbusters from Lorcan. It looks like we have new champions before O’Reilly breaks the pin. Lorcan goes to the top and is pushed off. He hits the edge of the canvas hard.

Burch tries to survive in the ring as Undisputed Era takes their shots. O’Reilly gets the arm bar but Burtch reach the bottom rope. Crowd went from not liking the match to chanting “this is awesome.” Lorcan is back in the ring and the challengers go for a double team LOD style move. Adam Cole breaks the pin by dragging O’Reilly out of the ring. Referee sends Cole to the back as crowd chants “Bulls—.” Lorcan focuses on Strong’s left leg. Lorcan and Burch both have submissions locked in. O’Reilly hits kicks from the ground to break the submissions. Lots of double team stiff shots before the champs get the pin on Lorcan.

Winners: Undisputed Era (Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong) to remain champions

Great start to the show. The champs head up the ramp as Lorcan & Burch get a round of applause from the crowd.
