– After lots of talk, Rey Mysterio is headed back to the WWE. According to Wrestling Standard, Mysterio has signed a two year deal that begins on August 1. The contract was signed on June 25, which happened to be a RAW from San Diego, California.

At the Royal Rumble in January, Mysterio made a surprise appearance to a huge pop. Months later, he would appear again at the Greatest Royal Rumble from Saudi Arabia.

The idea is for Mysterio to join SmackDown and appear on the post-SummerSlam episode from Brooklyn. Triple H has played a major role in re-signing the former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion.

A big issue with Mysterio returning was the length of the deal and also helping his son get into the wrestling business. No word if WWE has plans for Mysterio’s son.

– Following two years, The Ascension have actually scored a victory; thus ending their losing streak that goes back to February 2016. They defeated Heath Slater & Rhyno during this week’s Main Event.

Before coming to the main roster, Konnor & Viktor found great success in NXT. For 364 days, they held the NXT Tag Team Titles; which is the longest reign in the five plus year history of NXT.

The duo has struggled since joining the main roster. Their biggest storyline is probably working the Fashion Police segments with Fandango & Tyler Breeze.

Maybe, Curt Hawkins will get a needed win.
