– Ruby Riott was injured over the weekend and doctors have diagnosed the RAW superstar with a sprained left MCL. The injury occurred during a live event match against Dana Brooke from North Dakota on June 29.
During the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that surgery will likely not be required. Riott will miss at least several weeks of TV and will then get evaluated again by the doctors.
– As part of WWE’s new UK deal, superstars are making $31,500 dollars. This is up from the original $20,000 that was originally offered.
The contracts allow WWE to cancel at the four and eight month periods. Unlike most talent, there is an opportunity to compete for other promotions. Permission would be needed and a major rule is that the other promotion doesn’t broadcast their product; meaning Impact Wrestling, Lucha Underground and New Japan Pro Wrestling would be off limits.
