Seth Rollins recently spoke with GiveMeSport and he gave his take on Bret Hart saying he’s unsafe and Vince McMahon.
On Vince McMahon:
“Vince is great, first of all. He’s fantastic. My relationship with him is very good. He’s just such an eccentric dude but he’s always got something for you. He’s 71-years-old now and he’s just as sharp as a knife, so he’s a lot of fun to be around. He’s always got good feedback. He still watches it. He still loves it, that’s the crazy thing. He still comes to work every single week and he still loves it. He loves what he does. He loves being around it. He loves watching it, analyzing it, thinking about it. So it’s just cool to be around a guy like that.”
On Bret Hart saying he’s unsafe and what Vince thought of that:
“I have no idea if (Vince) even knew what Bret was saying about me as far as that’s concerned. But yeah, I got support from guys in the locker room who were like, ‘what is this guy talking about? Why is he saying this stuff? This is just ridiculous.’ So yeah, it was here and there but I mean most people didn’t really take it too seriously because it was just so off the wall and ridiculous that people just kinda make jokes about it for the most part.”
Bret Hart had admonished Rollins for being an unsafe worker after SummerSlam of 2016 when Finn Balor was injured by a buckle-bomb. Rollins had also injured Sting with the same move and this is what prompted Bret’s line of thinking. Neither Balor or Sting blamed Rollins for the accidents.
