This week’s SmackDown scored 2.771 million viewers, which is up from the 2.590 million viewers last week. It is the best number of the year and the highest viewed episode since April 2017.

The show saw Shane McMahon announce an indefinite hiatus as SmackDown Commissioner, only to be assaulted by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn at the conclusion of the show. Also, WrestleMania 34 opponents Charlotte and Asuka had a promo in the ring. This was also the first SmackDown since Fastlane, so it’s good news for WWE.

In comparison, RAW had 3.352 million viewers on Monday.
