– Vince McMahon remains high on Baron Corbin according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and the WWE boss sees him as a major star for the promotion.
There were big plans for Corbin after debuting at WrestleMania 33 and winning the Andre The Giant Battle Royal. The push had moments of hot and cold, before Corbin won the Money in the Bank briefcase. There was a strong belief Corbin would successfully cash in, but he ended up losing the match in seconds. Many have speculated this could have been done as punishment for being vocal and making a scene backstage when WWE doctors were discussing concussions.
Corbin made it to the finals of WrestleMania’s 34 Andre The Giant Battle Royal, before losing to eventual winner Matt Hardy.
– We noted how the WWE UK Championship King of the Ring is returning as a two day event. The first night, June 18, sees British Strong Style (WWE UK champion Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate & Trent Seven) vs. Undisputed Era (NXT North American champion Adam Cole & NXT Tag Team champions Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong). As of now, the only other thing confirmed is a tournament like the previous installment.
