WWE posted a statement regarding Ronda Rousey’s 30-day suspension she received for her actions last night on Raw. Rousey’s temper was on a hair trigger and it didn’t take much goading from Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss before Rousey lost it and went into attack mode. Kurt Angle tried to stop her but she hit him with a Judo throw. Then Rousey started battering Bliss with the Money In The Bank briefcase, and when Angle tried to step in again, she battered him with it too.

Here is the statement from WWE:

Ronda Rousey suspended from Raw for 30 days

Ronda Rousey has been suspended from Monday Night Raw for 30 days after attacking Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, two WWE officials and Raw General Manager Kurt Angle.

The incident occurred one night after WWE Money in the Bank, where Bliss caused Rousey’s Raw Women’s Championship Match against Nia Jax to end in disqualification. The Goddess then cashed in her newly won Money in the Bank contract on The Irresistible Force to claim the title.

Jax will challenge Bliss for the title in a rematch at WWE Extreme Rules. Rousey, meanwhile, will be barred from Monday Night Raw until Wednesday, July 18 — three days after that event.

Kurt Angle took to Twitter to explain his side of things and to say he hopes Rousey will learn from the experience:

Rousey made an apology to Angle on Instagram as well. She says she shouldn’t have let her temper get the best of her and that she’ll serve her suspension. But Bliss has payback coming her way.
